we got ours today and brendan was IMMEDIATELY excited. He insisted that his monkey wear the big kid underpants that come with it, as opposed to the diaper he arrives in. He loves flushing the monkey potty and likes how he talks when they are on the potty together.
It comes with a very cute board book that talks about throwing our diapers in the trash b/c we are a big kid. It also comes with a book for the parent called "The Potty Trainer". I haven't read it and likely won't. I was turned off by the first chapter where it talks about how you have to learn that the Parent is in charge. I personally don't agree with this philosophy and could see it leading to a lot of power struggles (with Brendan atleast, i'm sure all kids are different on this), so I doubt I'll read the book.
Anyways, so far, he's a hit!
