Can anyone tell me if there is a knitting, or crocheting class for kids, or even for me, in Sonoma County?

View Full Version : Knitting or Crocheting Class for kids or me? justamom 06-30-2006, 04:35 AM Can anyone tell me if there is a knitting, or crocheting class for kids, or even for me, in Sonoma County? Lindsay 07-03-2006, 05:50 PM I am fairly sure that there are classes at Beverley's in Coddingtown. Which, btw, is the best place to get knitting supplies. Michael's only has the cheapie needles and acrylic yarn, which is nice for the beginning but not so great if you are knitting diaper covers or perfer wool/bamboo/wood needles. justamom 07-11-2006, 03:59 AM Thanks Lindsay! barb 08-02-2006, 04:13 PM Hi Tina, it's Barb from 4H. I knit and would be happy to try to teach you. :) Jeff wants to learn to knit too. becky 08-02-2006, 04:54 PM I only know how to crochet...been doing it since i was 5 but still only know the basics. justamom 08-06-2006, 04:32 AM Hi Barb, We would love to learn to knit, and would really love for you to teach us! That sounds great! My son does not think he would enjoy it even though he does not even know what it is. I really want to learn, and I think he might enjoy it, as well as my daughter. GeorgiasMama 08-21-2006, 07:12 PM I have always wanted to try.. do you think its best to take an actual class or do you think it is easy to self teach? barb 08-21-2006, 08:38 PM I tried to self-teach myself, and was able to do a good job, but one of the stitches confused me (I couldn't understand it the way the directions were written) so I took a class. I think that anyone should be able to teach themselves. :) And if anyone gets stuck I'd be happy to help. Tina, name a time and place and I'll be there. :) Worst case scenario, the kids play while you and I knit! :) |
