Can anyone tell me if there is a knitting, or crocheting class for kids, or even for me, in Sonoma County?

I am fairly sure that there are classes at Beverley's in Coddingtown. Which, btw, is the best place to get knitting supplies. Michael's only has the cheapie needles and acrylic yarn, which is nice for the beginning but not so great if you are knitting diaper covers or perfer wool/bamboo/wood needles.

Hi Tina, it's Barb from 4H. I knit and would be happy to try to teach you. :) Jeff wants to learn to knit too.

Hi Barb,

We would love to learn to knit, and would really love for you to teach us! That sounds great! My son does not think he would enjoy it even though he does not even know what it is. I really want to learn, and I think he might enjoy it, as well as my daughter.

I have always wanted to try.. do you think its best to take an actual class or do you think it is easy to self teach?

I tried to self-teach myself, and was able to do a good job, but one of the stitches confused me (I couldn't understand it the way the directions were written) so I took a class.

I think that anyone should be able to teach themselves. :) And if anyone gets stuck I'd be happy to help.

Tina, name a time and place and I'll be there. :) Worst case scenario, the kids play while you and I knit! :)
