Anyone know of any good places in SR to go see fireworks either tonight or tomorrow? I'm hoping for not a HUEG event so there wouldn't be slews of people. Any ideas?

Not sure about Santa Rosa. When we stay in Sonoma County we head over to the Petaluma Fairgrounds. Doesn't get overally crowded. PLus there is enough security to keep them from lighting up personal fireworks. OH and no charge to get in or park.

I think the city of Windsor does fireworks tonight. There should be something in the Press Democrat about when, where, how much... aof all the area "shows". Haven't looked myself yet but there always has been in past years.

Mom of 2-Did you go to the Petaluma Fairgrounds last year? Last year my son's Cub Scout Pack 18 was there selling drinks so we were there from before gate opening till Fireworks were done.

SSU is also doing Fireworks. (Rohnert Park)
Plenty of parking. A good spot is in the quad. They shoot them off at the soccer field. I would advise parking in the lot off of Rohnert Park Expressway. We had no trouble getting out last year.

i want to go somewhere where we can take pics, and b can see the fireworks from a comfortable distance. i don't know how he'll react but i'm affraid of fireworks. I almost got burnt with the "ash" I guess you call it, of a firework when i was like 10. landed about 3 inches from me.

Santa Rosa's fire works display is tonight at the fairgrounds. It costs to get in and parking is crazy. I live close enough that we just go out into the street and get a free show. I'd suggest Coco's or Baker's Sq restaurant parking lots as you can see a lot and don't have to deal with all of the parking and people hassle.

HTH!
