Without going into to much detail, I am including in this post an email I just got from my sister. She is in Texas, but you never know and I thought I should share what happened.
Yesterday, March 12, I was at Walmart (Woodway/Hewitt,Texas) with my three little girls and my mother. We were wasting time waiting for medicine to be filled and the girls got hungry. I purchased two Mighty Nugget Kids Meal and one Icee.
Lori was not hungry so she did not eat, but Grace and Amy shared one. Through out the store they ate their food with no problem.
UNTIL.
We were at the check out and Grace said, "Mommy there is something hard in my nugget." I told her it was grissel and to wait til I could find a trash can. She went on to said it was hard. Finally I said, "Give it to me."
It was a BONE! About an inch long.
I was floored. I was mad and scared at the same time. Here I had let my 10 month old feed herself these nuggets and my 4 yr old found a BONE. I grabbed every piece of nugget from Amy that I could find in her hand and mouth.
The checker gave me a walmart bag to put the bone in. I walked over to the McDonald's with the meaning to scream and yell.
But when I got there and showed them what Grace had in her nugget all they could say was, "Would you like your money back?" What the hell! I was in shock.
Natsha was her name by the way. She said they get the nuggets from Tyson so she really did not know what to do.
As she looked at my receipt she asked, "Well, your Icee was okay. Do you want the money on that too?" "I want all my money back!"
Natsha took the bone and I walked away. But I could not get over their "I don't care" attitude.
I did not sleep last night worrying about what happened and what I should have done. Taken a picture of that BONE. Called the police, newspaper , district manager...someone who would care. Make them stop selling nuggets. Something more.
Just please check your food from McDonald's, the nuggets! And share this with people who eat McDonald's, Burger King or even Wendy's. My sister, Sheila, said just eat Chick-fil-A.
This is true. My name is Sharon Keeland. I live in Lorena, Texas with my husband and
three girls. My mother's name is Sandra Moseley, she was with me.
Thank God that day for giving that nugget to Grace and not Amy.
