I hope it's OK to put this here - I wasn't sure if it should go here or in Special Needs...
One year ago, after 3 months of physically deteriorating to the point that she could no longer walk, my daughter Melody was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. With treatment she has improved greatly over the past year, but it is a disease full of the unknown - at any time she could have a flare that could affect her everyday activities. On May 3rd we will travel to Sacramento to participate in the Arthritis Foundation's annual fundraising walk. It is our hope that through this fundraising, more will become known about the disease and better treatments will become available.
