I am thinking of making my own knock off for Skye...oddly enough I had this thought in my head to create this type of trainer where there was a front band keeping the trainer on while just undoing the front for sitting purposes...but as I looked online I see someone has already beat me to it....thought I would share since so many of you are potty training and some are ECing :)

hehehe Erin you are too funny...I will try and come up with my own version soon...I am on a training pant kick right now...so when I am done with those I will put some time into creating a waterproof trainer....

not stupid at all....its called elimination communication... where you read your babies cues for needing to go pee or poo as early as birth. I started with Skye when she was 4 days and it is completely different than potty training its more a way of being able to be in tune with your babies needs. Just like you can tell when they need a diaper change, or if they are tired, hungry, bored etc. you can also read when they need to eliminate. You can either hold them over a potty, bowl, sink, toliet or prefold diaper....many of the people who practice this use cloth diapers as a back up.
remember not everyone has diapers around the world so it is practiced alla round the world.

hmmm Since we are pretty much going no where I'm thinking I'm going to just bite it and let her wear panties. She does go in the potty and will sometimes tell when she needs to go, but totally not consistant. My only hesitation is getting wet all over my rug and the poop issue. Maybe trainers are the answer. I do still have plastic pants so maybe I should get some out.

yah plastic pants work too or back when Taiven was in the inbetween stage I used early trainers from walmart they were a training pant with a wax pant covering so like a pull up cloth style...whatever works right...

Those look great! I am so ready to start potty training Eli. Beginning in May my mom and I are going to make the first big effort. If you come up with your own design I'll take a couple.
