Does anyone here straighten their hair?

I have issues with thin flat hair at the top of my head and unmanaged uncontrollable wavy hair at the lower half of my head. I recently had my hair flat ironed straight at the salon. I love it!

I was at the mall yesterday and there was a new Kiosk there with these really fancy flat irons made from ceramic. My hair looks great again. The man also straightened my 5 year old daughter's hair. She has very thin red ringlets so this was a big change for her. She loved it. I am considering getting the flat iron but it is $130. I have to save up. The salesman says that because it is ceramic it does not get to such a high damaging heat as the professional metal ones. Does anyone else use a flat iron! I have never loved my hair so much!

I'm sure that you can buy the same kind (ceramic) at any beauty store, walmart or target and they probably won't cost half as much.

I've been thinking of getting a flat iron because ever since giving birth to the boys, my new hair growth is coming in fine and curly...it's driving me nuts. It's either that or get a perm so it's all the same...lol

No but I should with at least a blow dryer so it would be less frizzy. I wonder if you could find one on eBay for less?

I actually saw one on the Bed Bath and Beyond ad I rec'd in the mail today...it was $79.99 and there was a coupon for $5 off on the back of the ad...Use that and a 20% coupon that they are forever sending out and you've got yourself a pretty good deal.

I do not like the flat irons at Walmart at all. I want a professional grade one. Thanks for all your opinions and ideas ladies!
