View Full Version : My hair is long
But now I am bored :( I rarely dry it and wear it wavy now or mostly in a pony tail. I finally blew it straight today and can't believe how long it's gotten. I haven't had hair this long since High school! My only beef is that I am constantly mistaken for a teenager (like I've been asked if I was Jacob's big sister??? and when I coached, people always thought I was a member of the v-ball team). Not that it is bad to be carded all the time, but I don't know if I should look more 'my age'.
Here is a comparison of 6 months ago and now (sorry about the pic quality, I am still waiting for my camera to get here!):

For me long hair makes me look old and tired.
look how skinny you are!! :jawdrop
You look awesome
I love the longer hair, but I'm leaning toward really short do's right now.
You should go PoshSpice short :giggle

John would kill me if I did that! I had my hair really short when we first got engaged and he really didn't care for it. I would like to donate my hair to locks of love if I ever cut it short again, but its been highlighted so I don't think I can.

I love your hair! I know for me, every time I cut it short I get frustrated because it's too high maintenance. Now, I have long hair again and I'm itching to cut it too, but I know I'll regret it.

:yeah
I usually end up cutting mine around shoulder length for exactly that reason. Then it's long enough to throw in a pony when I'm lazy (which is every day) but short enough to style when I want to look more put together.

I like long hair. But then I see short hair cuts that I like too.
I had long hair before V was born. A few months after she was born, I cut it off. I got sad about it later.
I've been growing mine ever since and don't plan on cutting it short again, except for trims.
I have donated my hair 2 times.

I think it looks great both ways. I just hacked off 4 inches and it got me out of my hair rut. Sara, I WISH I got carded.

WOW! You look GREAT! Not that you didn't look good before, but I can see the difference.....
Anyway....I like both styles. I actually really think you have BEAUTIFUL long hair! I say screw what people think! Who cares if they think you are younger, live it up while you can! Cause saddly it won't last for forever.
I still get mistaken for older sister, nanny, auntie, student, etc. I was scolded so many times at all the jobs I started because they always thought I was ditching class :lol when really I was on my prep period! Even in 2006 I was still getting that a lot! Well, until my obviously pregnant belly was showing :giggle.
I still get winks and hit on by HS boys :lol ya....no, I'm not in HS thanks. hehehe I even had one guy not to long ago ask if I was "legal" (I guess that means 18 right?) ... :lol Ummm YA I am....and add a decade + to that babe! :lol
Go for the youner look for sure!!! And whatever YOU feel better in of course too cause that will make you feel younger too!

I think it looks good in both lengths that you showed in the pictures (I've never met you, so the pics are all I have to go by).
I generally think shorter styles look better on most women, because it shows off their faces more.

I would say that if you aren't planning on styling it during the summer, keep it long. I found my hair looks better curly when its longer. Maybe just trim it or try some sideswept bangs like Jackie did a while ago. If you plan on styling it daily then I think you would look good shoulder length or a little below. Maybe add some layers or bangs?

what's wrong with looking young? That is a great problem to have IMO. :)

I really like it both ways. Very pretty and healthy looking. I go back and forth weekly. I'm no help. :lol But I did just see the cutest short cut today and now I'm getting itchy.

Woo Hoo hot mama.. thinking your so young!! It's great you have the flexibility of wearing it wavy or going straight.. I'm sure you'd look great with a shoulder length choppy/tosseled do.. or long layered.. then if you straighten it.. you'd have the nice framing to show off your lovely eyes/facial features..
Long looks good too.. but if you're getting bored.. just do a "little" change..that way if you want to do the pony tail thing (with some face framing wispies).. you'd be tres chic!

Same prob here Sara about the age thing. I think my hair would look sooo much better if I would actually blow dry it and do something with it. But alas, I simply let it dry and there we go. If you get the right layers that don't look choppy if unstyled, then that is the way to go. I'm tempted to get some bangs that go to the side. If I remember correctly, Jackie posted pics of her haircut a few months ago and it was really nice that way.
