It was very neat being a part of 2 of the organizations listed in the Special Baby Section.
Sonoma County Mom and Becky's group MOMS Club of Santa Rosa. Very cool!
Hey Jackie, did they contact you about your group? Just curious!
Anyone here a member of the Rohnert Park-Cotati Mothers' Club? I can't join because my youngest just turned 5 in April.

I'm also in the RP Moms Club.
Lynette-Curious why you're thinking of not re-upping?

Just so you ladies in Rohnert Park know, the MOMS Club of Santa Rosa also covers Rohnert Park and Cotati and you dont have to leave when your kids turn 5. We know you still need support even after your kids go back to school. That is what our group is all about-Support for Stay at home mothers.

Have you gotten more contacts from mom inquiring about your group since you got listed? I bet you have becuase we sure have. I'm so excited for you.

Lorrie- a couple of reasons, one of them was because I joined to be in a play group but when I went back to work part time I had to drop out of the group and couldn't go to Rumble Tumble Tues anymore. The other part is I don't always feel like I know what is going on and although most of the day stuff seem to only be for SAHM's, the meetings are past or right around Alaina's bedtime. I guess there are a couple little things with individuals that have been a little annoying but then they are all volunteers so I really can't be too picky ya know?

Yeah, that is what I love about MOMS club of Santa Rosa (and RP, and Cotati). Everything is during the day, and during the week. The club's foundation is to support Stay At Home Moms, not interfere with precious family time (evenings & weekends). I can't wait till it grows a bit more.
I was going to try to be part of both Mother's Clubs, but I just felt like I was not valued as a Mother :respect because my kids are 5 and up. I mean I really feel like some Mother's of teenagers could use a little support as well, lol! Even if I am not there yet. I may try to join again when we decide to have another baby!
:bfp :preggo :stork-boy :baby :bf :camera But financially that is just wishful thinking!
Well you guys don't have to worry about inconveniene meeting times and beeing booted when your kids hit 5 here ;) :upthumb

I gave SCM's name to "Families First Home Visiting", County of Sonoma Department of Health Services.
A lady had come for Victoria's 9 month visit to make sure things were fine and that she was progressing correctly.
The lady asked me if I belonged to any mom groups. I told her about SCM and she took the information down to pass on to other moms that she see's.
What's cool about this program is they come a few days after being discharged from the hospital, 4-6 months and then 9 months.
I'm not sure if Kaiser offers this, but Memorial did.
michelle: That's cool. Whereever Sandy had Jacey offered that too. Nothing similar in Texas :(
Thanks for giving them the info! :upthumb
