Hi everyone, I am excited to announce my new biz name and logo. I love to travel and discover new locations so I will go just about anywhere to meet your needs.

I use both digital and film camera depending on your needs. For years I have shared my love of photography with friends and family capturing their precious and timeless memories on film. It is truly a joyous experience to share life’s tender moments or a child’s unique personality through the lens of my camera.

This past Monday I went out with Stephanie and her family to take a few maternity photos. I think she looks absolutely beautiful :) Unfortunately the weather wasn't as sunny as we planned the sun still managed to peak through here and there. I think Stephanie looks absolutely gorgeous especially just being a few days away from her due date.

Its been 3 years since these little 4 year old have been together. All three have birthday's within a few weeks of each other and as babies they used to do everything together including take Mommy & Me swimming classes at the YMCA.

As luck would have it we all managed to be in town together at the same time. One of our friends moved to Texas last year and the year before that we moved to Northern California. So last week we had a reunion of sorts at a local park in SoCal where we used to spend time together back when our toddlers were just babies.

Nearly 10 years ago I met JT's mom Sharon when Kayla was admitted to Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. His mom was a Student Dr who just started her rotation when Kayla was admitted and finished when she was released. Ten years later we still keep in touch and are good friends. I have since then added 2 more kids and Sharon is now an awesome Dr with her first son.

I find it amazing what life can throw at you when you least expect it. At one of the toughest periods in my life I met one awesome person and have made a great friend.

Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes - celebrating life and supporting the cause.

Think Pink Session
Through our photographer network, we are helping breast cancer survivors and their supporters to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions.

Any individual that has been diagnosed with breast cancer or completed treatment within the past 12 months qualifies for a Think Pink Session. Sessions are available to document the fight before or during treatment or to celebrate the victory when treatment is completed.

All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

The Foundation focuses on providing financial support for the chemotherapy and mammography needs of uninsured or underinsured individuals; establishing social and psychological support programs for individuals facing breast cancer, their caregivers and children; and fostering opportunities for individuals to educate themselves and others about the life and death importance of early detection.

Becka Lynn Photography (http://www.beckalynnphotography.com) is participating in the National Charity Model Search to select “America’s Cutest Kid” and to raise funds for charity. As a participating photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation this charity is very close to my heart.

We’re looking for cute children ages 18 months to 14 years old to model for a portrait to be entered into the contest.

Models Search Special:
$35 entrance fee, which includes a 45 minute model session, one image submitted to the national gallery and a 5x7 styrene mounted print of the submitted image.

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from votes benefit the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. As the new year has gotten off to a fun start I have new packaging, new products and a new website in the works (which is still in the process of being put together) I am so excited to see all these ideas that have had in my head finally come to life.

Who can enter?
This contest is open to all children ages newborn - 14yrs old.

What can you win?
Two grand prize winners will be chosen; one in Northern California and one in Southern California. Each grand prize winner will receive a complimentary session with Becka Lynn Photography, a 11x14 wall portrait and a special gift for you (person entering the child in the contest). Runner up prizes will be given to all children entered so really there is nothing to loose.

Spring is my favorite time of year. I love how beautiful this area gets as everything begins to bloom. Not too hot not too cold and we get an occasional rain fall from time to time. That is what I call perfect but my allergies might not agree with me. LOL

Summer is over and its time for our little ones to get back to school with some starting school for the very first time this year. As a parent we all want to remember those first days of school when our children are moving up as a “big kid” especially those milestone years when they start pre-school, kindergarten, middle school or high school.
