I'm in the porcess of putting together an activites calendar for my MOMS Club Newsletter and wondered if any of you had any idea of things to do in RP or SR besides parks (its so hot). I already have listed on Aug. 1st the free day at the Sonoma County Fair and a club activites but i really need more.
Can you please help?
Thanks :)

I think she means that its free admission to all until 3 p.m. on both Tuesdays of the Sonoma County Fair. It is listed on each day on the fair events schedule.

Yes that is what i saw too. I saw the info off the mailer I got last week about the fair and both tuesdays are free until 3pm and carnival rides are $20 instead of the cost per ride.

Geez, that is such a good deal I don't know whether to go or avoid it like the plague because everyone else will be there too! LOL!

Not sure how big of crowds will come from the free admission. But we always go on wristband day. Kids love too many of the rides to go when you have to purchase tickets for each ride.

Okay I read the brochure thingee at my IL's today and they misprinted somewhere. They have listed in one place that the 31st is free the 1st and I think somewhere else the 2nd. I think they also mention in one place tuesdays are free and in another wednesdays so if you are wanting to go and can get there by 3 I would seroiusly encourage people to read over the entire book and make them honor the misquote. I think there is one extra day they misquoted. Like tues is free for all wed senior day and then they threw in an extra mistyped day of like I said either the 31st or 2nd. Trying to sort it out reading the book was confusing. I swear the first page where it says "new stuff this year" did not coincide with the daily events calender thingee... anyway if you want to go reflip through all the pages :)

well i saw a commercial that mentioned the free days so i know its on tuesday. I really dont mind the crowd, I'm guessing most people will be working so there will mostly be moms and kids there anyway. The wrist band thing will be great too so my oldest can ride as much as she wants.
anyone else going on the second fee day?

We're waiting to hear back from my dad which day we're going(he's taking the kids and I). We hope to go on a wristband day other than that not sure which day.

That would be a cool idea to go on a free day and Salina can bring a friend to ride with her on the rides since she I just stand there in the heat with the baby asking, "Are you done with your tickets yet?!" over and over :)

My DH doesn't like the fair much so I'm waiting to see which day my parents want to take all the grandkids.
