I taught myself how to crochet about a week or two ago.
It's been nice. Something quiet to do for stress relief

That is precious! If I tried to make one for Cayden's big melon, it would take a while! Great colors!

thanks guys. It was easier than I expected. I learned how to crochet in a straight line years ago, but forgot the majority of it. I only knew the single crochet. This was TOTALLY different from that. LOL
That was the 2nd hat I made. It isn't perfect (a little lopsided) but i love it. The first one was WAAAAAAAAAAAY small. I think I'm going to make a matching boy hat (it was the same hat but cream with a brown flower) in brown and give it to a friend of mine who is having b/g twins in a few weeks as a gift.
I'm making a cream/brown one for a friends daughters 1st birthday right now.

Jackie, did you follow a pattern, or just make it up as you go? (if it's from a pattern, care to share? ;) ) I know how to knit/crochet, but mainly just basic stuff, though I'd love to learn how to do cute stuff like that

wow! I am so impressed. I have a hard time trying to read patterns, so I end up just making afghans and scarves with one stitch, over and over and over.
I feel really productive cause I did 2 scrapbook pages this week! Haven't scrapped since Maddie was born 15 wks ago!
