Mosaic tile

I am starting to explore mosaic. I would like to find a broken tile source, or a close-out tile source, since I am just a beginner, I don't want to spend a lot of money practicing. Does anyone have any tips?

My aunt and uncle use to do a lot of mosaic stuff as gifts. I'll ask them where they use to get there tiles. :)

There is a neat store - Habitat for Humanity Re-Store in Santa Rosa. They are at 24 10th St and are only open on Fridays and Saturdays. I was in last week and they had lots of small colorful tiles.
