View Full Version : Permanent makeup... anyone? KaisaG 04-28-2008, 04:50 PM I have been considering getting some permanent makeup.... Does anyone on here have any? Lorah 04-28-2008, 04:54 PM I don't, but I worked with a lady who had lip liner, and a lighter fill on her lips too....it was really cool looking...I never knew it until she told me. I just always thought she had perfect lipliner and lipstick all the time... khanson 04-28-2008, 05:58 PM OMG! I'm so glad you posted this because my mom had it done and she's down for the next month and needs to have it retouched. She had her eyebrows done and the last lady she went to (like 7 years ago) did a crappy job that didn't stick well. I told her I'd post to see if anyone had a referral and I forgot to :bag becky 04-28-2008, 06:17 PM I think if i wore makeup i would definitely get it permanent. I have only seen a few people with it and i always thought it looked awesome. meeg124 04-28-2008, 06:38 PM I would love to get permanent eyeliner but I have such an eye phobia that I could neve do it... What are you thinking of having done Kaisa? Theresa 04-28-2008, 07:02 PM I'm getting this done myself....when I make the appointment. My nail shop, Pro Nail in RP, does this. It's $250 for the eyes. That's all I've asked about. I'm thinking it will be my graduation present! KaisaG 04-28-2008, 07:08 PM I would love to get permanent eyeliner but I have such an eye phobia that I could neve do it... What are you thinking of having done Kaisa? I was thinking about getting my lips and permanent eyeliner. I'm really just kinda toying with the idea now. My MIL did it years ago and hers still looks awesome. I am kinda interested in how bad if hurts. I didn't think a regular tattoo hurt bad at all, but that wasn't on my lips/eyes. meeg124 04-28-2008, 07:29 PM I think if I was going to have this done, I would go to a plastic surgeon's office who had a person in their practice that did cosmetic tattooing. I think Dr. Chernoff's office SR has a person but I'm not sure of any other practices. Lynette 04-28-2008, 07:36 PM Ugh, I would think the lips would hurt like a biotch! Is the method the same as regular tatooing? I'd love to see pics of what it looks like when it is done if you have any links, I don't know if I know anyone with it done? meeg124 04-28-2008, 07:41 PM I don't think they use a tattoo gun like a tattoo artist does and they might use a local anestheic (if you go to a doctor's office to have it done) but it's definitely ink being injected under your skin. erin anne 04-28-2008, 07:46 PM I think if I was going to have this done, I would go to a plastic surgeon's office who had a person in their practice that did cosmetic tattooing. Expect to go back for touch-ups. I got it done in Sac so I don't have any recommendations, but I went to a women's expo in SR and they hd a couple tattoo artists who do permanent eyeliner, which to me makes a lot of sense! Good luck Kaisa. *Kelley*mom 04-28-2008, 07:55 PM My friend had her eyebrows tattooed on, but I guess thats not the same, and she said it didnt hurt . She also said to steer clear of eyebrow tattoos as they tend to droop with age. MamaLaura 04-29-2008, 07:28 PM I'm going to get my eyebrows done at some point... It just isn't a high priority for me right now. |
