What type of vehicle do you drive?

Are you happy with it?

We have a 4Runner. I do like it now, but it took some getting used to. I LOVED my Tacoma TRD 4WD truck that I had, but when I got pregnant, we decided that we needed the 4Runner for two dogs and a baby:)

I'm just happy with the fact that I'm not depositing my paycheck directly into the gas pump. (I have a Sentra, as opposed to the Grand Cherokee I used to drive)

We have an F150 that we love for when we purchase big things...or hauling...moving etc.

I drive for the most part our Explorer....love it! We are very pleased with this car....we are always saying how we're so glad we chose this vehicle.

we also have a Ford Fusion that dh drives and is his company car...we love that one because we don't have to pay for the gas :tongue

I have a 1995 Honda Civic. I LOVE my car. It gets good gas mileage and is pretty dependable. I am seriously dreading the day I have to give it up. It was my first big adult purchase!

We have an explorer...it is roomy but such a gas hog that with the prices what they are I wish I had my scion xb back...which I loved by the way....it was very room, easy to keep clean and got great gas mileage...it was also very low priced for a brand new vehicle....

I drive a Town and Country which I like because it is safe and roomy and *really* handy with the stow N go seats but a minivan doesn't have a lot of coolness factor so someday I hope to get an SUV again, I really liked the Explorer but gas mileage in both suck.

Our family car is a Honda Pilot and my commute car is a Toyota Matrix. We love them both. We especially like the fact that the Matrix gets 38 highway miles per gallon.

I used to drive a Dodge Ram 1500 with a Hemi but after we had Jess I decided to get a family car. Now DH drives one. I now drive a Nissan Xterra. It works for me. Someday I would love to have a truck back or a Tahoe now that the made hybrids!!!

They call it a crossover, but it's essentially an SUV. Saturn Outlook. LOVE it.

I drive a Toyota RAV 4. I love it! The payments are difficult with our budget though so I might have to sell it and get a beater car. :mecry

I drive the family car, 4 door Hyundai Elantra, its AWESOME! Gets 28-35 mpg. Dh drives the Toyota, extended cab, and it gets 24-28mpg, we are very happy with both!

We have a GMC Denali, but are probably going to get the hybrid Denali instead.

Right now I am on our 4th explorer and we really like them. I had a van for a while and with all the room it was nice, but I just couldn't get over being a minivan driver. With the gas prices though a passenger car is pretty appealing. If I could get any car right now though I would most likely get a 2002 or newer explorer.

I drive a Toyota Highlander and I really love it. I would like to trade it in and get the hybrid version, with 3rd row seating.

I drive a Durango that I loveee .... An DH drives a PT cruiser that we recently trade in for my Jeep liberty and he likes it a lot. We got a good deal and we already paid it off.

I said SUV and passenger.

I like my Toyota Matrix - like Kathleen said, good highway gas mileage.

Dan has a Toyota Camary that we need to fix up and sell.

We got from Dan's Grandma a Buick. OMG! It was costing us $50 a week to fill up that thing for work. Now that he no longer commutes, it will save us some money. DH wants to eventually trade that car in for something better.

I really like driving my Matrix. Although, I wish it had a few features that the Buick has. Like, cruise control and radio hand controls on the steering wheel.
The Buick is also the kid free car, so I drive it to MNO's and such.

BUT, I would rather drive the Matrix anyday!

i used to have a 2000 honda civic and I loved it. It was awesome on gas which was great considering my commute to work everyday. Then we had DH toyota Corolla which i wrecked :( so now we have a Toyota Sienna. I love all the room in the van but its not my dream car. Luckily we (I) don't drive much so gas isn't that big of an issue and the car is great for going on vacation

We have a Toyota Highlander and a Toyota Camry. I usually drive the camry, because it's a smoother ride, but occasionally take the Highlander for outings. Both are good cars. We're a toyota family. Our last four cars have been toyotas :)

I love my 96 Tahoe. I try to drive as little as possible though because it costs over $100 to fill up. Someday I'd like a newer one though w/ rear air and moon roof. Someday...

i drive a vw bug. nick has a jeep cherokee. i love my car, but it's really not practical with wyatt now. nick's parents were thinking about giving us their minivan and taking back nick's jeep. that way whoever has wyatt will drive the van and the person who doesn't will drive the bug. i don't really care what we get honestly as long as it has good gas mileage and at least 5 seats.

We have a Toyota Sienna. As soon as Dorian was born our little Hyundai Elantra started to feel really cramped! I love it, but it is a bit of a gas hog, which I'm not used to. Crappy timing with that decision!

I drive a 2003 dodge grand caravan. I like driving it but hate the gas mileage(only about 16-20 mile/gallon). We tried trading it in on a Scion xb but we owe more than its worth(since it has a ding in bumper and in the rear door). I love driving dh scion xb.

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee which I like beacause I feel safe in it (we still have the Celica GT that I used to drive...now when I sit in it I feel like Fred Flinstone, it's such a low-rider).

Th gas mileage sucks, but I've never had a car payment so that aspect is nice.

We are chevy people. Our first car was a 2000 camaro SS, that was such a fun car. I miss that. I now drive a 2005 Chevy Avalanche, I do hate paying up the a$$ in gas, but I love my truck. DH drives a 2500 chevy silverado full size.Which is wors in gas than mine. With the cost of gas I still wouldnt trade my truck in for anything, well except a 08 avalanche.

I have an '04 Mazda 3H. It's definitely got the "zoom zoom"! It's a lot of fun to drive but visibility isn't great. I'd like to get a mid-size SUV, but I think we're going to run this one to the ground instead.

I drive a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant which I love. It needs some tlc on the body (oxidized paint) but it has all the extras that make life easy. Plus it's still kind of sporty.

Dh drives a Ram 1500 quad cab pickup and has a '71 Buick Skylark for fun too. He kind of switches off depending on his mood and where he's going but they both SUCK on gas!

Sara
05-06-2008, 01:49 PM
Funny Marisa :D Tell Billy John used to have a 72 Skylark! We need to get the boys together so they can talk cars.

I made the mistake of forsaking my Camry for an Avalon. It's nicer and rides smoother and all that... but what was I thinking? The Camry got right around 30 mpg and the Avalon gets 21. The dealer said it would get 1 to 2 less... it gets 9 less. ARGH! I love the car but between the payments and the insane cost of gas...

The worst part is now I want something bigger... and gets better mileage. Good luck right? Luckily the trunk is just large enough to fit my daughters wagon and a couple of lounge chairs with a bit of room to spare. Any smaller and I'd have to tie the wagon on to the bumper and pull it like a trailer. :)

I have a Sienna and just love it.

We have a Toyota Sienna.

We rented one of those last year for our trip South with my Sister. It was so fun to drive! I said that was going to be my next car, if we have more than 2 kids.

Volvo wagon... Very Sebastopol-ish car. :) And we love it! Our Galant was totaled right after our son was born and we decided to get a family car. Plus, we now blend in with the scenery here in Sebastopol as every other car is a blue Volvo wagon. :)

We are in need of a new van w/i the next few months, or really immediately as our current one needs new tires asap and I hate to put more $ into it just to need to get rid of it in a few months anyhow (our van won't fit all our kids in their carseats (or any combo of new seats). Feel free to email me details. We don't have a ton to spend but depending on age/what you are asking perhaps we could help each other out?

We have a lincoln navigator, we LOVE our Suv, very spacious and luxurious. It does require a lot of gas, but not a problem for us. We also have a VW jetta, we are going to sell it soon, it's a very cute car, but my hubby says it's a "girl" car and he doesn't want to drive it any more. It's very cheap to maintain.

I guess I'll update since the Sienna was totaled last year. We have an '06 Honda Odyssey and I love it! :D It feels a lot roomier than the Sienna was, and I like that it has a lot of little compartments to hide crap in. :giggle I also love that the back seats can fold into the floor, though that's a feature I think most vans have now (our Sienna was a '99). Dh drives an '03 Hyundai Elantra and it's been a good car. We bought it new in '03 and it was our only car for a long time. Then right after we had Dorian, MIL's car died and we felt like we needed more space, so MIL took over payments on the Elantra and we bought the Sienna. Then when Dh's grandma died MIL got her car and just gave us back the Elantra (have I mentioned I LOVE my MIL?!). So now we have two cars again.

I drive a 2001 Ford Escape and DH drives a 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback.

I used to have a 1999 Saturn SC2 Coupe for 10yrs (and a Jeep Wrangler before that..oh how I miss that Jeep), and DH had a Nissan Maxima; however 2 weeks after buying and moving into our condo in RP, the Maxima was stolen. :( (Welcome to the neighborhood, huh?? :hopmad) DH took the Saturn and gave me the insurance $$ to buy another car. I got the Escape. Then Morgan came around and the 2door Saturn just didn't do it, so we went out and bought the Mazda 3 - which I really like. It's the newer rusty orange color and my SIL calls it Orangina, while DH calls it the pumpkin! :giggle

Dh drives a 2006 scion xb. Its great for parking in smaller spaces, gets great gas mileage and the three kids are ok in back seat(James and Jess no in car seats, Jules in backless booster seat). I would trade my minivan for one if I could but minivan is paid off and we couldn't get enough for it to pay for scion in full.

I have a 2002 Subaru Forester. I love how it handles and the fact that it is the safest SUV on the market. However, the backseat is really small with no leg room. I think they have redesigned it but I may go with a Subaru Outback for my next car. (if we can ever afford one!)

I drive my husbands Saturn Ion. I love it! It is considered a 2 door, but it has suicide doors which make getting Ava in and out of the car so much easier. The only down side is that it's low to the ground and I have a very bad back (I've needed surgery since before Ava was born). So it hurts to bend over and put her in. I'm hoping that within the next 2 years we can trad my car (red Chrysler Seabring Convertible) in for a fuel efficient SUV.
